I always get to a point where I have hundreds of pictures on my smartphone... Time to clean up and start with fresh, new photos :-)
I thought it would be fun to show some of the pictures I made with my phone in 2011 and 2012, before storing them somewhere on my harddisk..

Christmas impression

Here are just some random pictures of our Christmas days. It seemed impossible to place pictures of every familymember, there are too many :-) Instead, I only placed a picture of myself with my son and below on the right is my mum, cutting vegetables in the kitchen.

Above, from left to right, is the Christmas crib of my mother-in-law, my heart-shaped wreath at my front door and yummy breakfast things we ate :-)

The middle from left to right is some decoration in my house, me and my son Youri and a paper angel that my daughter Kaia made (doesn't it look cute??)

Below is the 17 pound turkey that my mother-in-law made, some decoration at my mum's house and my mum herself.

Hair inspiration

This next week will be an extremely busy one for me.. I have to finish my portfolio before November 14th for my study, so I've actually taken a few days off next week so I can do my homework. In the mean time, I'm already looking forward to all the fun things I am going to do, once I have finished my study :-) Yay! 
I want to do something fun with my hair, I love pinks and purples and found a little bit of inspiration on www.weheartit.com. 
I love coloured braids, does it show? ;-)

Bokeh beauty

I love bokeh photography, never tried it myself, but it's definitely on my wish-list for trying out!
It will probably be one of my next projects...

Into the wild

I absolutely love the forest, especially this time of the year...the colors, the smells..yay! Today was a perfect day for a walk, it was not too cold and we found a lot of mushrooms!! We actually had to watch out not to step on them all the time!

One of my projects

I thought I'ld tell you about one of my projects that I am currently working on :-) We have all kinds of pictures hanging by our stairs (of friends and family) and what I want to do, is make one part of it into a picture wall with our ancestors. I just love old pictures, they make me want to go back in time and when I look at old photos, I try to imagine what was happening at the very moment the photo was taken :-)
So, a few weeks ago, when I was at my parent's house, my mum and I went up to the attic to search in all their photoboxes and we found an amazing box, completely filled with old pictures!! I took the box home with me and now I'm sorting all the photos out. I guess there are about 300 photos in the box and I have to figure out which ones are my family :-) It's quite a project, because when I'm done sorting the photos, I'll have to buy a lot of pictureframes to hang them in!

Making cupcakes

I just love baking, especially cupcakes! They're cute and yummie :-) Usually I bake them and my little girl Kaia does the decorating part. Ofcourse our favorite part is eating them!

I love old cams!

Just wanted to share my beautiful 'new' oldie with you, isn't she pretty? 

Such a beautiful day!

I don´t know about the rest of the world, but here it´s been a beautiful sunny day today! Although the wind can be a bit cold, it was the perfect sunday to do some work in the garden, so my friend and I went to our allotment and did quite a lot of work. The garden has to be made ready for the next season and we just planted our garlic and broad beans, both survive during the winter and gives us early harvest.

My adorable cats

Ok, I thought that this would be a good moment to introduce my cats to you :-) This is Bono:

Bono is a 6 year old black cat, actually he is more of a dark-brownish colour, but you can only see that when the sun is shining on him. Then you can also see his stripes. He is adorable, but not really cat-like.. if I had to describe him, then I should say that he is kind of like a human being. He loves to cuddle and he loves to eat, and sleep.

And this is Gimli:

Gimli is also 6 years old, we named him after Gimli the dwarf, from Lord of the Rings. Now Gimli is what you could call a hunter. He brings home all kinds of trophees, to our disgust sometimes... for example, he gives us mice, frogs and birds. He also eats all the flies and spiders in our house, so that's a good thing. He is lovely, but not as cuddly as Bono. He just likes to be around and he likes it when we pet him, just as long as we don't pet him too much. Crazy cats...

Thrift shop impression

I was staying over at my sister´s place last weekend and saturday we decided to do a little bit of shopping.. then we found this great thrift store!! Ohhh, how I love thrift stores..you never know what you´re going to find!
